Months On Diet

Meet Justine

My name is Justine and I did the Core Fit Foods diet last year in July.

My Journey

I started out at 218 lbs and my goal was to get down to 165. I was reluctant to do it as I wasn’t sure that I would like the foods. I began in the middle of the summer with events starting to open back up and that was my motivation for change. 

The first week was easier than I thought and the foods I chose were a delightful surprise. I loved the aloha mango smoothie for my breakfast and the pasta kept me going through lunch, but the bars were definitely my favourite.

The Dark Chocolate S’mores were my saving grace, everyday making me feel like I was able to get a little reward. As long as I added vegetables and had a salad with the lunch meal I felt very satisfied. By the end of the first week I couldn’t believe I had done it for one whole week straight.

I had confidence that I could handle this plan and after that I just got serious and focused and pulled through three straight months, trying different shakes and bars. I got to expand my food choices as my body was shrinking.

Selena helped me to understand how to focus, which is something that I had never been able to bring to other diets. I would have quit were it not for her diverting me back to my goal, every week. I would have told myself some lie about why it was okay to stop the diet, or when I told myself I don’t need to do this. She would say, “tell yourself a better lie” and that was the trigger I needed to get myself back to my best size. I did three months on the plan and got down to 179 lbs and I was so proud of myself for finally clearing that 180 benchmark.

With the habits I developed and my confidence in understanding how to manage food now from a renewed mindset, I have taken my own approach towards getting to the final goal weight. I am still working at it but much better off having had that push start. I feel great and I know that there is no going back to the old me. All I needed was that boost and a structure and that was when I got it.
